Justin, you are absolutely right! Noticing that our negative self talk is protecting us and challenging it is a smart way to break through when we feel unsure. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jane,
Learning to manage and ultimately shutting down the negative self-talk is key to reaching our goals. Nothing can sabotage our success like the inner critic.

Whenever negative self talk creeps in I always consciously challenge the message. Basically the ego/little mind is just trying to protect itself from being hurt again by conveying limiting talk.

Martha, I agree that it is so easy to get sidetracked. I am constantly watching my own actions over my shoulder, (not easy!) and asking myself if what I'm doing is either making me money, serving clients or growing my business. Hugs, Jane

Dear Mary,
I agree with you that the subconscious is a bear to take control of. I think the goal is to keep being aware, keep noticing negative self talk and ground in your body as much as possible the image of success you want - thank you so much!

I just sent that quote, from Henry Ford, to all of my LinkedIn list! I believe in the Law of Attraction, but I STILL fall into that negative cerebral chatter. I've been using subliminals and brainwave entrainments to over ride the subconscious beliefs that still seem to be lingering. (Some of it could even be ancestral.) I am amazed how fast it can show up..but the conscious and the subconscious have to match, or I don't believe the affirmations can work like people want them to. I do think it helps alot not to tune in to negative media stories, and to keep yourself away from negative people. Like attracts like. And I agree that as soon as a negative shows up, counter it with positive. "Confidence is a habit that can be developed by acting as if you already had the confidence you desire to have." Brian Tracy

Your number way to ensure business longevity hit home. I think it is all too easy to forget that you are supposed to be working or to get sidetracked when you are your own boss, after all you get to set your own schedule. However, you must always be focused just as if someone else was setting your schedule.
